Old Fellows Curling Club

About the Club

The Old Fellows Curling Club is one of the largest and fastest-growing curling clubs in the Stirling area, if not in Scotland.

Under our Constitution, we exist "to promote fellowship and friendship amongst gentlemen of retirement age by running daytime curling." In fact, we run Autumn and Spring Leagues with 12 rinks competing in each, together with opening, Christmas and closing bonspiels on Thursdays at 12:30pm, an "away day" to another ice rink and at least three matches each season with a number of local Ladies' clubs.

We are also taking ice on some Mondays at 12:30 to run a Monday League and to accommodate our Points and Pairs competitions.

There is also a friendly and informal social side to club activities. We normally have lunches in The Peak's restaurant after our bonspiels and Ladies matches while, on the Mondays and Thursdays of normal league games, most members congregate beforehand for soup, sandwiches and social intercourse.

As a "chartered club" with ClubSport Stirling we benefit from a 25% discount in ice fees and members currently pay only 6.50 per game.

Further details about membership can be obtained from the Secretary by e-mail on: secretary@oldfellows.org.uk
